Don´t Forget Me...

måndag 30 november 2015

Hello everyone!
My, how the weeks are rushing now, tomorrow it's already December...I don´t know how that happened. Anyway, here is a real cutie who don´t want to be forgotten at Christmas...my heart melts:)

For this card, I colored up the adorable image with my Copics and combined it with Bo Bunnys Sleigh Ride papers. I cut "hello" out of glittery silver paper with a Mama Elephant die and for the sentiment I used a Joy Crafts speech bubble die. I also added some 3D snow and Star Dust Stickles. This was quite a easy card to make and I love how cute it turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Silent Night

fredag 27 november 2015

Hello friends!
I´m popping in today for a quick share (it´s a busy time of year) to show this card where I have created a combination of textures and dimension by using embossing folder and dies.

First I cut out the cabinet with Tims Movers and Shapers die from a piece of shimmering cardstock. Then I used We R memory keepers "Gemstone" next lewel embossing folder to create a fantastic texture. I adhered it with 3 D foam over a background made with watercolors and snowflake stamps. The reindeer was cut with a die from Tims "Holiday Joy" stamp/die set, Memory Box "Traditional Stars" and Mandys "God Jul" dies are also used.
As always so grateful for your visit to my blog and I wish you a lovely weekend!

Christmas Altered Zink Box

söndag 22 november 2015

Hello crafters!
Ok, today I have an old zinc box to show that I have altered for Christmas, I intend to give away a Christmas gift in it. As usual when I get an idea, I get such a rush to get started that I totally forget to take a "before" picture.

But here is "after" my makeover. I started by painting the lid with white gesso to get a good base for the decoupage image which I then mounted. Then I went loose in my stash and had fun with dies, metal / ordinary flowers, etc.

I think that´s all that needs to be said about this project...sorry for the slightly gray photos, it was a bit poorly with daylight when they were taken. I hope you have had a great weekend!

Glittery Christmas

fredag 20 november 2015

Hello Crafters!
Here is another Christmas card with an old fashioned Santa, and perhaps the whole card goes in a bit unusual Christmas colors.

I found the image of Santa in my stash, I decided to combined it with papers from Webster´s Pages "A Christmas Story Collection, I think it´s from last year. Next, I had some fun with the Cozy Christmas "Jingle Bells" die to cut and create the bell banner. My sentiment is made with Mandys die. I think that's about it. As always, thanks so much for your visit!

Christmas Matchbox

onsdag 18 november 2015

Hello friends!
Today I have a quick post...with another Christmas altered matchbox. This is a little smaller than the one I showed a few days ago.

I used papers from Bo Bunnys "Sleigh Ride" collection. For the edge at the top I used Tim Holtz Alterations "Boughs of Holly" die and Distress inks. I also made a mini tag stamped with a small Christmas greeting which were adhered with twine and red berries. At the top of the box I added 3D snow and sprinkled over glitter.

Okay then ... the reindeer got some glitter on his horns ... and on the frame :)
Now I'm ready. Thank you so much for looking today!

Merry Christmas

måndag 16 november 2015

Hello Crafters!
It´s time again for another fun challenge over at Muse: Christmas Visions, this week Chriss Blagrave is our Muse and I have created a card that I want to share.

It is not easy to "Take great pictures of your card" and therefore it is the challenge at Ett Trykk right now. They give a lot of tips on how to make the pictures better. Now I had not much time today to try different things, but one photo is taken with an angle and I also styled a little on one side.

The second is taken from straight ahead with a blurred background, I might have used a neutral background instead, to see the difference better. I think I'll try with another card in the future.
Supply list:
Memory Box Winter Flurry Frame Stencil
Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Greens dies
Poppy Stamps Small Blooming Poisettia die
Poppy Stamps Berry Sprig die
Inkido sentiment stamp
White embossing pouder, Distress inks, Star Dust Stickles, Dylusions Sprays

Whishing you a wonderful day!

It´s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

lördag 14 november 2015

Hi everyone!
Today I have a large matchbox to show you that I have dressed up for the winter and Christmas time. Either I give it away ... or I keep it myself:)

I used some nice old papers from Panduro that I found in my stash to both front and backside, then I decorated them a little different. The sentiment from Marianne design were die cut and then filled in with a Zig Writer chalk pen.

To the other side, I used a couple of metal decorations including one from Tim Holtz. The box got beautiful rich colors  with the flowers in a little vintage / retro style that I think is great for Christmas.
Thanks so much for looking, I hope you all have a great weekend!
Hugs, Birgit

Fire

onsdag 11 november 2015

Hello Crafters!
Happy Wednesday to you! Today I'll show you something else than Christmas projects, and it´s the challenge over at Less is More, that has inspired me to make this card.

I have used a lot of orange, yellow, and some red Distress inks together with Tim Holtz "Rays" stencil. I also added embossing powders in copper and aged gold. For the sentiment I used a Mama Elephant die, I adhered the lower panel with foam pads for a raised effect. And that´s it I think, I finished of with a golden sequin.
Now to the question...Is it a fire or is it a sunrise / sunset? Well, it is for you to decide:)
Thanks so much for visiting!

Deck The Halls...

måndag 9 november 2015

Hello crafters!
Let me first of all thank Muse: ChristmasVisions for my guest designing there last week, it was so fun to see what everyone created and I can only conclude that there is so much creativity out there among you. Thanks!

And of course I also want to join this week when Kimberly Wiener is our Muse. I tried to stick to the theme, although I did not have any cat. I found this old reindeer stamp instead which also looks a little tired, poor thing. At first I thought about a one-layer card but I changed my mind and added a strip of silver paper behind the front panel for a little more interest. I also added some snow and glitter, I have, as usual, a bit difficult to resist the glitter on the Christmas cards:)
Thanks for stopping by!

When You Stop Believing In Santa You Get Socks For Christmas...

söndag 8 november 2015

Hello crafters!
Here are two cozy winter friends from the Penny Black stamps which give each other some "Holiday Hugs". I colored them with my Copics and then cut out the image. Then I adhereded it with some glittery snow paper before...

...I added it to the background with foam pads, which I first had created with Xcut Star embossing folder and blue Distress inks. Love the dimensional stars that makes the winter scene in the background perfect. The sentiment stamp is from K-designs and was white heat embossed.
Today is Father's Day here with me so I and my husband look forward for a lovely visit from our shildren, and I will myself go and visit my own father. It´s going to be a great day! I hope you all enjoy a great day too!

Glittering Winterscene

onsdag 4 november 2015

Hello everyone!
Today I have a new cute card to show. Well the stamp from Wild Rose Studio isn´t new, I think it's from last year but it´s the first time I color it up.

I cut out the image by hand and used a die from Rox Stamps for the sentiment.

It´s not so much more to say about this card, I added 3D snow and...I think you see how it´s designed yourself.
Thanks for looking, have a great day!

Warm Winter Greetings

måndag 2 november 2015

Hello crafters!
It's Monday again, Halloween is over and a new week has begun. But in the past weekend I got some crafting time to make some new Christmas cards, this is the first I want to show you.

I love this myself, created with gorgeous Christmas Pattern/Blue papers from Dixi Craft and the Marianne design house die LR0353. I added a black die cut behind the white to create a shadow effect. Next I stamped the K-design sentiment in red. The star was cut out with a Memory Box die from glitter paper and I finished by adding a sequin and a black enamel dot.
Okay that´s all for me. Wishing you all a happy day!

Christmas Tag

söndag 1 november 2015

Hello there!
Today I´ve created a tag for 12 Tags of Christmas - Funkie Junkie Style - Week #5. I decided to go all in for the sparkly and scribbly with distress inks and embossing paste.

I used Tim Holtz Christmas stencil, and for more sparkle I even mixed glitter and silver Distress Stains in the embossing paste before adding it to the tag:)

Then the whole tag was colored with diluted Evergreen Bough Distress ink, and the edges were sponged with darker brown and black. All glittery elements are cut out with different dies from Memory Box and Mandys. A couple of Tims chitchat words and of course, the tree charm and seam binding finished of this tag.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
