Chalkboard Card

måndag 28 april 2014

Hello there!
I'm back again after the weekend that I've spent along with other talented scrapbookers at a scrapmeeting with Miss Agnes. I want to share a card inspired by a challenge in chalkboard technique we did there.

"Warning! A hug can jump out when you open ...."

For this card I used Tim Holtz Alterations Plaque&Postage die to cut the upper edge. I added the chalkboard that I made with a couple of Inkido stamps over papers from Prima "The Optimist" Collection.

I cut up the paper and let a flower reach in and over the chalkboard.

Okay, that´s all for me today...I'll catch up with some housework after the weekend.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Hugs, Birgit

Shadow Stamping

onsdag 16 april 2014

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
One might think that I have deliberately followed a butterfly theme here on the blog lately, but it is completely unaware that it has become very much butterflies, however here flutters yet some over ...

I have made an attempt with the shadow stamping technique, fun but not so easy. Here you can see my attempt, I managed not quite as good as I had hoped.

Used materiel:
Sentiment stamp - Inkido, Tulips stamp - Pysselpassion, Grass stamp - Unknown, Butterfly stamp - Inkido, Rond stamp - Bildmålarna, Stripe Border stencil - Wendy Vecchi, Distress Markers and one black pearl.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog. Hope you have a great day!

Spring Butterflies Have Landed

måndag 14 april 2014

Hi there!
Think how much two tissue napkins can be used for. I've already made an Easter egg and a card (which I already showed here on the blog), and here comes a candle where I attached the napkins with light lacquer on the candle.

I attached some of the napkin on white cardstock, then I put metal tape on the back and then cut-out butterflies which I bent, and mount with needles on the candle.

At the bottom of the candle I decorated with flowers, natural twine, paper and lace.

That's all for today, hope you have a great week!
Hugs, Birgit

Carpe Diem

fredag 11 april 2014

Hello there!
I am back again to show a card I actually got to work a little extra on. It may sound a bit strange when you see it, but sometimes it is so that the end result not at all becomes as planned from the beginning. This card I have had to leave and return to several times.

From the beginning, I tried to do a very simple card. But in the end, it has become a Spring inspired card where I have tried to create a scene with children sitting on the fence among trees and butterflies in the park / garden, looking in to the city.

I colored the stamped images from Bildmålarna with my Copics and cut them out. I used 3D foam to create dimension and placed them on the fence made with Tim Holtz Alterations die. I also used a Forest stencil from Clearscraps and the Classic Words stencil from Wendy Vecchi. Some stamps from Inkido(sentiment), Reprint(Eifel Tower), Stampers Anonymous(hot air balloon) was used together with butterflies from a paper napkin that I first glued onto a cardstock with decoupage coating and then cut out. Okay...I finished of my card with a beautiful old metal button in the bottom left corner.
Wishing you all a happy day!
Hugs, Birgit

You Are Somebody´s Reason To Smile

onsdag 9 april 2014

Hi, and welcome to my blog!
Today I have made a card inspired by the color theme challenge at StampARTic. And I have used the chalkboard technique together with one of the Smile sentiments from Kaisercraft, crown from Red Rubber Design and the swirl are from Vilda Stamps.

Once that was done, I adhered it over some fabulous papers from Authentique - Lovely collection.

Flowers and other things was found in my nowadays quite large stash:)

For the inside, I made a matching chalkboard sentiment.

It was really fun to make a card without a image as the focus point, it feels like it was quite a while ago.
Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting today.
Have a great rest of the week everyone!
Hugs, Birgit

It Is Great To Be Nice

söndag 6 april 2014

Hello and welcome!
Today I have the pleasure of being a guest designer for Stamping Sensation along with Brenda and her amazing Design Team. I won their January challenge with this project. Their challenge theme this month is "Dies and Punches." I hope you want to join, and please stop by the challenge blog to see what the Stamping Sensation team has to inspire you. And here is my contribution...

As the winner I was able to choose a lovely collection of design sheets from Ignacio´s Nicecrane Designs, and of cource I wanted to use one of the motives here as Guest Designer. I love that cat! Which pretends that it does not see or hear anything. So kind and good though it is big and strong. It is GREAT to be NICE!

I've played a little with two Nestabilities Labels Seven dies for this card because I wanted it to look like a book. I have also used a Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies.

I hope you like my card and that even I have inspired you a little to use your Dies and Punches.
Finally, a peek on the inside...
Thanks for looking and have a lovely week!
Hugs, Birgit
